Caught stealing ?

Ok so, I live in Toronto Canada and My friend and I was caught stealing at Sephora. I know it was stupid of us. This is the last time we


ll ever do anything like that again! They called our parents, called the police and said they were gonna fine us. They said we can't go back to the store for a year if we do it'll be trespassing. What else is going to happen to us? Do we have a criminial record? It was our first time stealing. They did not take pictures or finger prints.



No you do not have a criminal record. If you don't do it again, nothing else will happen to you.





However, your names are probably entered into Toronto Police Service's computer system so that if you are caught again for anything, the police will know that you've already been caught stealing once.





Shoplifting is a crime, and if you continue to do it, its only a matter of time before you DO get a criminal record.
