Why do the US media twist issues to benefit Corporations or political leaders that the media support?

Example:





#1. Supply and Demand theory for Oil Price





#2. Iraq war





#3. Bonus to AIG executives





All undermining the United States of America



Ninety percent of the media is controlled by right wing corporations and conservatives with a need to have a king rather than a president.




First you have to understand the #1 of the media, to sell advertising to companies that you'll purchase goods from.





Exxon makes a ton of money, they also do a lot of advertising...you don't bite the hand that feeds.





AIG did a TON of advertising over the last 18 months, more than I think they ever did before (or at least I noticed). I work in the insurance field and pay attention to insurance commercials. You don't have to think very hard to figure that one out.





Iraq war was very unpopular to be against because they were linked so heavily to 9/11 in the run-up to war. You don't piss off the consumers of your rag and lose advertisers.




Because mainstream media has wanted a Dem in office for awhile now some in mainstream media are having morning meetings with some from the white house admin to go over things for the day like things to say and things to focus on.


like how mainstream media went after Rush then mainstream media focused on AIG executives to deflect from how the admin was handling the economy.




Because the media is a multimillion dollar business. Their primary goal is to get high Nielsen rating and sell advertisement. Sometimes they tell the truth but more often they sensationalize news in order to make it more interesting. Further have you noticed who the TV media hire as news person? Most female news person are attractive enough to be movie stars. Check out Fox News and CNN. Even the field women reporters are not bad looking at all.




If you are referring to the entertainment part, they don't want to lose ad revenue.


If you are talking about the news part, they don't.




LOL - you think the media SUPPORTS this sh!t? Not one single thing on your list has the support of the media. Sometimes not even Fox News.
